Supporter event: Behind the scenes at the Azadî and Hêvî Community Gardens
We recently held a special online event to give our supporters an inside look at our projects in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This was an opportunity to see how your contributions are helping to create tangible improvements at our flagship community garden, Azadî, and our new community garden, Hêvî.
If you missed it, the event recording is now available online, giving you the chance to explore these projects and learn more about the progress being made.
What you’ll see in the recording
- A virtual tour of the Azadî Community Garden: Aveen and Rody showcase how this space is making a difference in Domiz 1 camp.
- A progress update at the Hêvî Community Garden: Hamid and Othman provide a tour of the Gawilan camp garden, including a first look at the bakery house in action.
- A live Q&A session: The Lemon Tree Trust team answered thoughtful questions from attendees.
Dive into the Q&A discussion
The event featured a live Q&A session where our team addressed a range of thoughtful questions from attendees. These covered everything from the challenges of maintaining the gardens to the benefits they provide to the communities they serve.
We also compiled and answered additional questions that we didn’t get to during the event. You can explore the full discussion in the event recording, which includes:
Whether you’re curious about how the gardens are maintained, their impact on the local economy, or future plans for expansion, the Q&A segment offers valuable insights into our work.
